Lake Travis’ players did not erupt with unbridled joy after they earned a surprisingly easy 63-21 victory in a Class 6A, Division I state semifinal over Humble Atascocita on Saturday afternoon at the Alamodome.
The Cavaliers have said they will not rest comfortably until they erase the memory of last year’s 34-7 loss to Katy in the 6A, Division II state championship game in Houston. Lake Travis, a five-time state champion in Class 4A, played with Alabama-like precision while carving up Atascocita in every facet of the game.
